The focal point of this trek is also the Golla village. Golla village is one of the richest villages for religion and cultural aspect. The village itself is a small Sherpa village but richly decorated by ancient and festive monasteries.
The Golla village formed on a hill in an elevation of 3000m offers a wide Mountain panorama including Mt. Gaurishanker, Karyilung, Numbur and Khatanga. The village has 5 ancient and festive monasteries including a nun's monastery. Beyond this from most of the part one can have fine view of Mt. Karilung and Mt. Numbur, the mountain regarded by the locals as being the home of the protective deity of Solu where each year in August performs cleansing ritual at its sacred lakes. During this festival thousands of devotees and hundreds of Jakris (Shamans) walk to the lake for the festival, from the villages of all around Solukhumbu.
